On 22 February 1687, Captain Andrés Bandorne endowed the convent of La Madre de Dios (Dominican nuns) with the celebration of the feast of Corpus Christi and a procession around the perimeter of the convent on a Sunday in July, close to the feast of San Buenaventura, which would be added to those organised in other convents and churches in Seville.
